Hyper-Pigmented Skin
Brown spots, melasma, freckles. These words all describe areas of the skin that are pigmented due to sun exposure, genetics or medications. Renaud Naturals formulas encompass organic, natural ingredients, such as kojic acid, asafetida flower extract, bellis parennis "daisy" extract and meadowsweet extract. We use no bleaches or harsh chemicals, such as hydroquinone.
Rosacea Skin
Rosacea is a skin condition that causes a persistent redness on the face, in particular on the cheeks, nose and forehead. Rosacea manifests itself initially as a facial blushing that does not seem to disappear completely. The initial redness may come and go, but over time develops into a more persistent redness that resembles inflammation (like a sunburn). In addition, the face often will feel itchy and painful.
Benefits of Renaud Naturals Powerful Rosacea Treatment:
- Significantly reduce redness
- Scientifically formulated products with all natural ingredients
- No side effects
- No more burning or itching skin
Rosacea begins as a tendency to flush easily and may progress to small broken blood vessels or spider veins (telangiectasia).
In its most advanced for (inflammatory rosacea), small pus-filled bumps or pustules begin to form giving rosacea its nickname "adult acne." If left untreated, it may cause the nose to thicken and redden, a malady that afflicted comedian W.C. Fields. The exact cause of this condition, called rhinophyma, is not known, but spicy food, alcohol and the sun are suspected.

Acne Skin
Acne skin is caused by glands that produce too much sebum, resulting in skin that has a greasy, slippery texture, appears shiny and frequently has large, clogged pores. Despite these drawbacks, oily skin generally remains younger looking and more supple over time that other skin types.
Acne can affect skin at any age from adolescent to adult. Acne skin is usually characterized by normal to oily skin that persistently breaks out, is clogged, reactive and is sometimes inflamed. Acne is caused by a number of factors such as dirt, stress, pollution and diet. The good news is that acne skin can be alleviated over time by lowering stress, following a healthy diet and by using natural organic skin care to keep skin clear and healthy.
Sensitive Skin Type
Sensitive skin can be dry, normal or oily and is characterized by delicacy which is why we feel it is more of a skin condition than a skin type. It frequently reacts adversely to environmental conditions and often requires special treatment in order to remain in good condition. This skin type is prone to react adversely to cosmetics containing alcohol, synthetically manufactured ingredients, fragrance oils and artificial colours. Sensitive skin benefits greatly from natural, gentle skin care products and treatments.
Dry Skin Type
Dry skin is caused by under or inactive oil glands that do not produce enough sebum to keep the skin naturally lubricated. It usually has a dull appearance, feels dry and itchy and is sometimes sensitive. You may see flakes on your cheeks, chin and forehead. Fine lines may be present around your eye and lip areas. Mature skin often falls in this category. Dry skin must be hydrated regularly from the inside (with fresh water) and outside with weekly moisturizing masques and daily hydrating toniques and serums, as well as rich moisturizers.
Normal/Combination Skin Type
In normal skin, the oil glands produce sebum at a moderate rate, resulting in a balanced state, not too oily and not too dry - your skin will have an even tone. From time to time you may experience oiliness on your chin, nose and forehead or dryness on your cheeks, lips and around your eye area. To keep the condition of your skin even and toned, a good skin care routine including cleansing, toning and moisturizing is a must.
Oily Skin Type
Oily skin is caused by glands that produce too much sebum, resulting in skin that has a greasy, slippery texture, appears shiny and frequently has large, clogged pores. Oily skin is prone to develop acne, a condition resulting from sebum trapped inside the skin and causing lesions known as comedones. Despite these drawbacks, oily skin generally remains younger looking and more supple over time than other ski types. Oily skin benefits from daily cleansing and toning and weekly clay masks.

Use a cleanser with horsepower... To unclog pores and make them appear smaller, lather up with formulas filled with glycolic, lactic or salicylic acid to accelerate exfoliation.
|
It is important to exfoliate your skin at least once or twice per week. Facial exfoliators are essential to keep skin soft and glowing. They help slough off dead skin cells and keep pores clear. This sloughing action also smoothes and clarifies the face's complexion. An exfoliator is a great pick-me-up for tired, dull skin. It is also a good way to deal with rough or flaky skin.
|
To balance the pH of your skin and begin the hydration process, follow cleansing with tonique. Toniques are great to use any time for hydration and a quick pick-me-up. Glycolic Toniques help to further unclog pores and make them appear smaller. You could rotate a glycolic tonique with a more hydrating tonique.

Hydrate! Hydrate! Hydrate!
Also, to raise the pH of your screen after using a peel, we recommend either Soothing Calendula or White Tea Cranberry Tonique. Formulated with sodium bicarbonate, these 2 toniques will quickly raise the pH of your skin.

Sunscreen

Regular cleansing will remove surface dirt and grime, but only a facial masque will actually draw out impurities from beneath the top layers of the epidermis. Masking helps exfoliate dead skin cells and unclog pores so your toning, hydrating and protecting products work more effectively. Masques also help stimulate blood circulation and leave your skin feeling smoother and softer.

Damage from free radicals is one of the primary causes of fine lines and uneven tone. Minimize future wrinkles and blotchiness with anti-oxidants, applying a serum or cream that contains a free-radical fighter, such as vitamin C, vitamin E and green tea extract every morning after cleansing. Apply the serum first and let it soak in for 1 - 2 minutes. Then, apply moisturizer.
|
Applying sunscreen is like brushing teeth: it's unfathomable not to do it. Apply it after your moisturizer or use a moisturizer that contains sunscreen with makeup.

Dead cells are complexion enemy number one. So, after exfoliating and masking in the evening, slather on a retinoid cream. Retinoid creams speed up the rate at which the body sheds dead skin. But retinoids benefits don't stop there. Vitamin A also stimulates collagen production (making skin look plumper and fine lines smoother) and normalizes cells exposed to UV rays, effectively undoing sun damage. The downside? Overusing Retinoids can be irritating, so we advocate a flexible retinoid regimen. We suggest alternating daily between Retinol Smoothing Facial Creme and one of the moisturizers mentioned above. Retinol Smoothing Facial Creme also helps in fading sunspots. If you find this creme too irritating to leave on all night, using it as a masque boosts the effects without causing flaking. You may also try applying one of the regular moisturizers under the Retinol to reduce the strength. Or, cut back on how often you apply it (i.e. every third night rather than seven days a week).

Yes, retinoids boost collagen and elastin production in the skin. But vitamin A alone does not do enough plumping, so over this, we recommend layering a second topical containing peptides. Our Co-Q-10 Rose Petal Moisturizer is very hydrating, so you won't need an additional moisturizer. So, when in a hurry, a speedy procedure to use most nights... just cleanse, tone, apply Retinol Smoothing Facial Creme and top it off with Co-Q-10 Rose Petal Moisturizer... and hit the sheets. There is reason to save these big-gun treatments like retinoids and peptides for nighttime... your body temperature goes up while you sleep and the heat helps products penetrate skin better.
